- Suture removal
- Weight club
- Dietary advice
- Microchipping
- Flea and worm treatment advice
- 6 month checks for young pets
- Reproduction Advice
- Anal gland emptying
Our qualified nurse is, Joanne Collins RVN (Head Nurse).
Josh Somers (SVN) is a Student Veterinary Nurse and works alongside Jo. Our Nurses have undergone 2 years of veterinary nurse training and passed exams at each stage in both theory and practical tasks. Each year they have to take courses to keep up to date with new techniques (CPD).
The role of the Qualified Nurse involves the following tasks (and many more):
- Nursing clinics
- Caring for inpatients
- Take blood samples
- Put animals on fluid therapy
- Diagnostic imaging (x-rays)
- Preparing animals for surgery/assisting with surgery
- Suture removals
- Offer advice
- Overseeing the work of the nursing assistant team
